Jade
I lived in Hong Kong for almost a year, and I met Jade on what was probably one of my first nights out. After that we kept bumping into each other and I knew I really wanted to shoot her. She's a badass tattoo artist and we often spoke about the different things we as women faced in Hong Kong society. Finally, after much procrastination during my final days in Hong Kong, I organised a photo shoot with Jade. It’s set within Hong Kong's high rise apartments, and it’s a great setting that captures both the high rise structures juxtaposed against these playful yet bold colours, which made it perfect for shooting.
The kittens in the shoot are only a few weeks old (maybe not even that), Jade had saved them from the side of a busy road a couple days before, and they have since lived by her side / in her care.
